Groups arrangement
1Admeasurement
The linear adjustable groups (X, Y, Z) are equipped with direct admeasurement by means of electro-optical rulers Heidenhain.

2Linear guide
All linear adjustable groups (except for stroke of work spindle) are led on a compact linear guide (roller four-direction nests with prestress).

3Compensation
The weight of the headstock is compensated by the force of telescopic hydraulic cylinder. The hydraulic accumulator positioned on the column of the machine is a source of pressure oil.

4Drive of feeds
The drives of all linear axes are equipped with digital controlled AC Siemens servo-drives with direct drive. The transfer of turning moment to the movement group is provided by means of ball screws. Having reached the target position the X, Y, Z possibly W axes are held in positional coupling. The B axis is automatically hydraulically strengthened.

5Central headstock
The typical feature of TOStec machines is the centrally positioned headstock. The advantage is represented by the symmetric warm load of the machine column.

6Column
The main parts of the machine frame (column and bed) use the new COMBItec technology. These are the hollow welded parts reinforced with ribs, filled with special damping mass. This execution ensures high dynamic and static stability of the machine frame and due to the low weight of adjustable groups enables to reach the top values of acceleration.
