Headstock options

Main options of slide headstock:

Vertical mechanical working spindle placed in the slide - the machine is designed for the workpieces machined from one upper side by the vertical tool. It enables the rough machining as well as finishing.

TYPE Franz KESSLER SIEMENS
Spindle speed range min-1 20 - 5 000 20 - 5 000
Power, rated kW 24 27
Spindle torque max Nm 600 800

Vertical electrical spindle placed in the slide - the machine is designed for the machining by the vertical tool with the higher rotation speed. You can select either the electric spindle with the higher torque moment enabling even the difficult rough machining operation, or the electric spindle with the very high rotation speed for the finishing operations or machining of the light alloys.

TYPE Franz KESSLER TRAMEC FISCHER
Spindle speed range min-1 100 - 9 000 100 - 18 000 100 - 24 000
Power, rated kW 48 28 77
Spindle torque max Nm 300 89 60

2-axes CNC continuously controlled TRAMEC fork milling head with electrical spindle - the head is continuously controlled in two axes, C and B, and it is supplied in several variations according to the speed and torque on the spindle. The user can either execute the rough machining or the finishing operations depending on the selected version. The head allows machining from five sides for pieces with complicated shapes including application of five-axial (multiaxial) machining.

TYPE AC4 AC4 AC5 TK AC5 FK AC6
Spindle speed range min-1 100 - 16 000 100 - 15 000 100 - 18 000 100 - 24 000 100 - 15 000
Power, rated kW 38 70 28 39 63
Spindle toque max Nm 130 167 100 35 300

2-axes automatically positioned and indexed SEMPUCO milling head with mechanical spindle - offered in two options:

TYPE KFU-D3/45 KFU-D3/90
Spindle speed range min-1 10 - 5 000 10 - 5 000
Power, rated kW 30 30
Spindle toque max Nm 800 800

KFU-D3/45 - the head is positioned (indexed) with the increment of 2.5˚ in the plane perpendicular to the slide axis in the C axis and in the plane angled by 45˚ in the A axis.

KFU – D3/90 – the head is positioned (indexed) with the increment of 1˚ in two mutually perpendicular planes (orthogonal version) in the axes C and B.

The heads enable the machining with the spindle in the vertical as well as horizontal position as well as operations with other discrete angular positions of the spindle axis. The machine can work all 5 sides of the workpiece.
